DRAPER, Utah (AP) — The victim of a seven-vehicle wreck in Draper involving a suspected drunken driver has been identified as a 43-year-old mother of five.

Police say Susan Madsen was driving her 13-year-old daughter home after soccer practice when she was killed in the accident Thursday night.

Her daughter was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Bill Thompson is accused of running a red light in his pickup and triggering a pileup that claimed the mother's life.

Investigators say the 44-year-old Thompson was taken to the hospital with major injuries and will be booked into jail on suspicion of vehicular homicide, driving under the influence and reckless driver once he's released.

Police say he's believed to have been involved in a domestic dispute at a Draper home shortly before the crash, but he was gone by the time officers arrived.

The children of Madsen and her husband range in age from 10 to 16.
