PARK CITY, Utah (AP)-- Steve Holcomb won another World Cup bobsled race in his hometown Saturday, topping the four-man competition a day after winning the two-man event.

"As nice as it is to win double gold anywhere, it is especially nice to win it at home," Holcomb said.

In similar fashion to his finish Friday, Holcomb had to make up time in the second final heat. Holcomb trailed three-time World Cup champion German's Andre Lange by 0.01 seconds entering the final run on the Utah Olympic Park track.

"Andre doesn't make mistakes, so you have to go down the ice knowing that he won't mess up," Holcomb said. "It's nerve racking."

Holcomb was able to make up ground and win the race with a two-run time of 1:35.05, 0.09 seconds ahead of Lange.

Holcomb credited his team of Brock Kreitzburg, Steve Mesler and Pavle Jovanovic.

"We had two great pushes and our equipment held up well," Holcomb said. "When we put it all together, that is when we come out with a victory."

The next race will be in Lake Placid, N.Y., and it is the last American stop before the World Cup moves to European.

Holcomb finished second in last year's World Cup and is attempting to become the first American to take the championship since Brian Shimer in 1992.

Canadian Pierre Lueders finished third at 1:35.37, and defending World Cup champion Evgeni Popov was fifth at 1:35.41.
