Jazz are off and running. Two-A-Days all this week. Then Saturday you Jazz fans get your 1st up-close look at the new look at the free scrimmage 4pm doors open at EnergySolutions Arena.
The preseason tips off next Monday night at Golden State.
Among the many insights learned at Monday's Season Opening Media Day, the uber entertaining 2nd year man Enes Kanter. His off-season "ab-modeling tweets" caught everyone (including the Jazz who politely objected to some) by surprise drew a lot of eyes. Also the 20 year old from Turkey nicknamed "Big Turkey" also drew laughs and ‘wow's' when he told us media all around him how he ballooned to 293 in the Summer.
Watch Kanter describe his typical breakfast, lunch and dinner during his eating binge.
He peaked out at about 293 lbs then began a crash diet. Salad (no dressing) and plenty of seafood. Enes lost 51 lbs and reported to Jazz training camp at a svelt 242. Prompting former Jazzman Matt Harpring (@mharpring15)to tweet "He's a center? 242 lbs? if true, bring back the milk shakes. Nice abs doesn't get you playing time."
Just the beginning of another intriguing Jazz season.
