PROVO, Utah (AP) -- Lee Cummard scored 13 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead Brigham Young to a 90-69 win over Idaho State on Wednesday night.

BYU (2-0) led from start to finish and began the game by outscoring the Bengals 23-6 over the first 10 minutes. The Cougars led the Bengals (0-2) by as much as 24 before it was over and won their 32nd straight at home.

Sam Burgess scored 16 of his 18 points in the first half for BYU and Jonathan Tavernari and Trent Plaisted added 17 points each. Freshman Jimmer Fredette scored 10 in his home debut for the Cougars, who shot 52 percent from the field and made 12 of 25 3-pointers.

Chron Tatum led Idaho State with 20 points.

The Bengals couldn't overcome the Cougars after shooting just 30 percent in the first half. Idaho State cut the lead to 14 with 13:35 remaining, but BYU scored the next eight and was never threatened the rest of the way.
