CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) -- Nate Janes scored a career-high 25 points in Southern Utah's 83-to-62 win over I-U-P-U-I tonight.
It was the final regular season game for both teams.
Janes went 10-for-12 from the field and 5-for-5 from the foul line, while brother Rand Janes went 5-for-7 from the floor to finish with 14 points.
The Thunderbirds shot 57 percent from the field and 53 percent from 3-point range. Southern Utah also made 16 of 17 free throws.
George Hill led I-U-P-U-I with 21 points. The loss was the Jaguars' second straight after a nine-game win streak.
With the loss, I-U-P-U-I fell into a tie with Oral Roberts for first place in the Mid-Continent Conference. Southern Utah wrapped up the fifth seed.
