SALT LAKE CITY - The Arena Football League Office announced Utah Blaze DB DAHNEL SINGFIELD (6-1, 190, Buffalo) as ADT Defensive Player of the Week for Week 14. This marks the first time this season he has earned an AFL weekly award.

In only his second start with the Blaze, the 2006 All-Rookie performer recorded 8.0 total tackles, a tackle for loss, a fumble recovery, three pass breakups and an interception as the Blaze (7-7) defeated the Colorado Crush (8-6), 51-14, at the EnergySolutions Arena on Monday. The 14 points allowed by the Blaze was the lowest in team history.

Singfield was part of a secondary that recorded four interceptions and snapped WR DAMIAN HARRELL's 78-game consecutive touchdown streak.

"It was a complete game from our defensive and Dahnel was a key part of that," said Blaze head coach/general manager DANNY WHITE. "Shutting Harrell down like they did may be the greatest tribute of all to the play of our defensive backs."

The Blaze will take on the Western-Division leading San Jose SaberCats (10-3) on Saturday June 9th at EnergySolutions Arena. The game will be seen live at 7 p.m. MT on KJZZ and heard on 1280 The Zone
