SALT LAKE CITY — Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush will be in Utah for a fundraiser this month carrying the endorsement of Sen. Orrin Hatch.

Hatch, R-Utah, and Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev., were in Reno on Wednesday for a Bush rally where they were to throw their support behind the Florida Republican.

"Jeb is a proven leader," Hatch said in a statement from the Bush campaign. "He has a real record of cutting taxes, fostering job creation and reforming government. I know Jeb will return the United States to a position of leadership in the world."

Former U.S. ambassador John Price and his wife, Marcia, will host a fundraising luncheon for Bush in Salt Lake City on Aug. 25. Donors who pay $10,000 get a seat at the luncheon and a photo op with Bush, while a $2,700 contribution gets one into the event.
