GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) — State police are investigating a shooting in southwestern Oregon that left one man dead and another injured. Both are from Utah.
Oregon State Police say early indications suggest the Saturday morning shooting followed an argument over the ownership of a truck.
Troopers say 43-year-old Warren Batie was found dead at the scene in rural Josephine County. They learned another man was being taken to a Grants Pass hospital in a private car.
Police stopped the car and arrested 46-year-old Jeffrey Hunsaker. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the leg.
