WEST VALLEY CITY — The last car of a TRAX train derailed at the Decker Lake station in West Valley City on Sunday.

The four-car green line train was traveling south when the final car came off the rails and struck a power pole. Sixteen people were on the train at the time of the incident but no passengers were in the fourth car and no injuries were reported.

"Continue to expect a 15-30 minute delay on the TRAX Green Line between West Valley Central and River Trail due to a rail issue. Bus Bridge in effect between West Valley and River Trail. For more information, call 801-743-3882," UTA posted at 4:20 p.m. on social media platform X.

UTA crews used a crane to hoist the train back onto the tracks and towed it to the maintenance facility about 11 p.m. There has been no confirmation on when TRAX service will resume.
