WEST YELLOWSTONE, Mont. (AP) — SkyWest Airlines has announced it will soon offer jet flights between West Yellowstone and Salt Lake City to connect passengers with Delta flights.
The Delta Connection flights, operated by SkyWest, will begin in June. The airline says it will run flights twice a day from Thursday through Monday and once each day on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
SkyWest already operates flights on propeller planes for Delta Connection to and from West Yellowstone. SkyWest spokeswoman McKinnley Mattson says the flights on the 50-seat jets will operate seasonally from June 1 to September to better serve travelers visiting Yellowstone National Park.
West Yellowstone airport manager Jeff Kadlec says this will be the first time in almost 30 years that the airport has had scheduled jet service.
