PROVO — The former Timpview High School football coach who was forced out of his job after an audit showed misuse of funds has now formally resigned.
The Daily Herald reports Louis Wong reached a settlement with the Provo Board of Education after a closed-door meeting Tuesday.
Under the agreement, Wong resigns and drops his two-month long appeal of his firing. The school district accepts his resignation, withdraws its firing, and pays off the balance of Wong's contract.
Wong was suspended, then fired in March after an audit uncovered financial irregularities.
