SALT LAKE CITY — Tuesday marked the 15th anniversary of the Bureau of Land Management’s National Conservation Lands, and to celebrate, the organization released three new, vintage-inspired posters of the landmarks.
The posters are part of an ongoing series that highlights the beautiful BLM conservation lands in a new, unique way, according to a BLM news release. Eight posters have been released so far of various landmarks throughout the U.S. Utah’s Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument was among the new posters released Tuesday.
“The mission of the BLM’s National Conservation Lands is to conserve, protect and restore nationally-significant landscapes and places that have outstanding cultural, ecological and scientific values for the benefit of current and future generations,” according to the news release. “These lands include 900 areas (more than 30 million acres) of national monuments, national conservation areas, wilderness areas and other federally-designated special places.”
The vintage posters are available in both postcard and poster formats at BLM state offices across the U.S. Requests for paper posters can be emailed to asmall@blm.gov. However, the requests are limited to five posters per person.
