A storm system will approach Utah from the southwest on Wednesday, producing increasing clouds, breezy conditions, and bumping temperatures into the upper 40s. Valley rain and mountain snow are expected to arrive in southwestern Utah on Wednesday night and spread north by Thursday morning. New Year's Day will be wet with valley rain and mountain snow.
