MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Pittsburgh Pirates recalled switching-hitting infielder Max Moroff from Triple-A Indianapolis.

The Pirates made the move before Sunday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Left-hander Steven Brault was optioned back to Triple-A. Brault took the loss in the series opener Friday against Milwaukee, giving up three runs in six innings. The loss on Friday was the second appearance of the season for Brault (0-1) since his debut on July 5.
