PITTSBURGH (AP) — Right-hander Chad Kuhl has been recalled by the Pittsburgh Pirates from Triple-A Indianapolis to start against the San Diego Padres on Tuesday night.
Kuhl made four starts with the Pirates earlier this season and was 1-0 with a 4.19 ERA. He had a 6-3 record and 2.37 ERA in 16 starts for Indianapolis.
Right-handed reliever Curtis Partch was optioned to Indianapolis. Have allowed three runs in 2/3 of an inning in two games.
