CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) — Elijah Olaniyi scored 19 points as Stony Brook edged past Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 68-63 on Friday night. Makale Foreman added 17 points for the Seawolves, while Andrew Garcia chipped in 15.
Mouhamadou Gueye had eight rebounds and three blocks for Stony Brook (2-2).
Myles Smith scored a career-high 22 points and had six rebounds for the Islanders (0-3). Jashawn Talton added 12 points. Nolan Bertain had seven rebounds.
