PHOENIX (AP) — Admiral Schofield hit a 3-pointer with 24 seconds left and scored 25 of his 30 points in the second half, helping No. 7 Tennessee knock off top-ranked Gonzaga 76-73 in the Colangelo Classic. Tennessee jumped on Gonzaga early and fought back from a nine-point, second-half deficit.

UNDATED (AP) — Tua Tagovailoa will be the odds-on favorite to win the Heisman Trophy next season after the Alabama quarterback had to settle for second to Oklahoma's Kyler Murray. Murray is heading for professional baseball next year and Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins, the other Heisman finalist, could very well enter the NFL draft. Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence, Georgia QB Jake Fromm and Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor are among those who could challenge Tagovailoa.

UNDATED (AP) — Kelly Graves thought his Oregon Ducks hadn't really done anything to deserve the No. 3 ranking in the AP Top 25 _ the school's best ever. Now after suffering their first loss of the season on Sunday at Michigan State, the Ducks will fall in the poll.

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (AP) — Kentucky linebacker Josh Allen has won the Lott IMPACT Trophy as the college defensive player having the biggest influence on his team. Allen received the award from former Hall of Fame safety Ronnie Lott at the Pacific Club.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Kira Lewis Jr. made a 3-pointer and two free throws over the final 13 seconds and Alabama held on for a 76-73 victory over Arizona. Lewis pulled up for the uncontested shot after the Crimson Tide, which had lost a big lead for the second straight game, worked most of the shot clock down.

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Freshmen Naz Reid and Ja'vonte Smart scored 16 points apiece as LSU defeated Incarnate Word 91-50 in a nonconference game. Reid's 16 points were his most since he had 29 in the second game of the season against North Carolina-Greensboro.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Sophie Cunningham had 18 points and eight assists, Amber Smith had her third consecutive double-double, and No. 23 Missouri held off Saint Louis for a 74-62 win. Smith, who has six double-doubles this season, finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Asia Durr scored 32 points and made the first of several critical free throws down the stretch that helped No. 5 Louisville hold off No. 19 Kentucky 80-75. The Cardinals appeared in control with an 18-point lead midway through the third quarter and a 67-52 lead entering the fourth. Kentucky rallied to within four twice in the final 30 seconds, but Durr, Sam Fuehring and Arica Carter made needed free throws.
