GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The father of Florida quarterback Kyle Trask says his son is out for the season because of a broken foot. Michael Trask posted on Facebook that Kyle fractured a foot practicing a trick play Wednesday. The 19th-ranked Gators declined comment when asked about Trask's injury. Coach Dan Mullen had been deciding between Feleipe Franks and Trask to start against South Carolina on Saturday. It now appears Franks will be the choice.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — Sophomore forward Savion Flagg scored 24 points and six Texas A&M players scored at least nine points as the Aggies defeated Savannah State 98-83. A&M overwhelmed SSU in points in the paint (58-18), rebounds (68-43), second-chance points (31-7) and blocks (8-1).

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — Chennedy Carter scored 22 points, Aaliyah Wilson and Kayla Wells combined for 34 and No. 20 Texas A&M defeated Rice 65-54 in the season opener for both teams. And though the remaining 12 teams can't win the SEC, there are still plenty of intriguing story lines to follow over the final three weeks of the season.
