LOS ANGELES (AP) — UCLA faces a rebuilding year under Mick Cronin and the young Bruins are busy adjusting to their new coach's ways. Cronin is figuring his players out, too, including budding star Tyger Campbell and Shareef O'Neal, son of NBA great Shaquille O'Neal. The Bruins went 17-16 last season.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — USC's defense should be healthier than it's been the past few weeks when the Trojans face No. 9 Notre Dame. Defensive end Christian Rector was limited because of an injured ankle in USC's loss to Washington. Safety Talanoa Hufanga and cornerback Olaijah Griffin are set to return after missing the Washington game. USC is hoping Hufanga's versatility can help disrupt the rhythm of Notre Dame's offense.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Quarterback Steven Montez and Colorado are making their first trip back to Autzen Stadium since 2016 to face No. 13 Oregon on Friday night. Colorado is coming off a 35-30 loss at home to Arizona but is still in the thick of the Pac-12 South race. Oregon got by resilient California last week but failed to score in the first half. The Ducks are nonetheless still undefeated in Pac-12 play

UNDATED (AP) — The last time Southern California took the field, the Trojans got run over by Washington and all the optimism from the upset home win over Utah evaporated. The Trojans face a third straight ranked opponent this week traveling to No. 9 Notre Dame. Meanwhile, the most intriguing matchup in league play is in the desert as Washington travels to Pac-12 South leader Arizona. The Huskies were listless last week in a loss to Stanford, while Arizona is heading into the toughest part of its schedule.

UNDATED (AP) — In the 91st renewal of what is called by many "the greatest intersectional rivalry in college football," the Trojans, led by healthy true freshman QB Kedon Slovis, visit Notre Dame Stadium to take on the Irish and QB Ian Book, who is coming off his second game of five TD passes this season.

UNDATED (AP) — No. 15 Utah visits Oregon State on Saturday in the first meeting between the two teams since 2016. The Utes are coming off a bye after a victory over Washington State. The Beavers have been buoyed by a big win over UCLA last weekend. Quarterback Jake Luton threw a career-high five touchdowns passes and ran for another in the 48-31 victory.

UNDATED (AP) — No. 18 Arizona State hoping to avoid a letdown against Washington State after being ranked for a second time this season. The Sun Devils lost to Colorado a week after being ranked for the first time earlier this season.
