The Bears know it's only a start and they need to keep up the strong play starting with a home game Friday night against Arizona State. The Sun Devils found themselves on the wrong end of a close game last week, losing 34-31 at home to Colorado.

UNDATED (AP) — USC put its season back on an upward trajectory after its upset of Utah. Now the 21st-ranked Trojans face one of their biggest road tests of the year against No. 17 Washington. Matt Fink is expected to be USC's third starting quarterback after he threw for 351 yards and three touchdowns when Kedon Slovis was injured early against the Utes. Washington's Jacob Eason has thrown six touchdowns and an interception in the past two games.

UNDATED (AP) — Notre Dame tries to bounce back from a painful loss and Southern California tries to build on the momentum of a surprising win in the two most notable college football matchups this week. The 21st-ranked Trojans visit No. 17 Washington on Saturday while the 10th-ranked Fighting Irish host No. 18 Virginia.

UNDATED (AP) — It's a significant matchup in the division race on both sides of the Pac-12 as the Huskies and Trojans get a chance to prove their victories of last weekend were not outliers. USC's upset of Utah and Washington's romp over BYU both were impressive in their own way. USC was forced to turn to backup QB Matt Fink to lead the 30-23 win over the Utes. Meanwhile, Jacob Eason was nearly flawless as the Huskies rolled to a 45-19 romp over the Cougars.
