IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Noah Cain ran for a five-yard touchdown with 5:17 left and 10th-ranked Penn State held off No. 17 Iowa 17-12, its first win over a ranked opponent this season. Cain finished with 102 yards for the Nittany Lions, who extended their winning streak over the Hawkeyes to six games.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Jonathan Taylor rushed for two touchdowns, Wisconsin's defense posted its fourth shutout of the season and the No. 8 Badgers cruised to a 38-0 win over Michigan State. The Spartan held Taylor to 80 yards on 26 carries, marking the first time this season the Heisman Trophy hopeful was held under 100. Michigan State was held to 149 yards, 30 rushing, and couldn't find any rhythm as the Badgers dominated time of possession.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) — Hassan Haskins ran for 125 yards and a touchdown, Zach Charbonnet had 116 yards rushing, and No. 16 Michigan needed a late surge to put away Illinois 42-25 on Saturday. The Wolverines built a 28-0 lead by halftime, but turnovers and ineffective offense helped the Illini pull within three before Michigan put the game away.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Rodney Smith ran for 139 yards and a touchdown, helping Minnesota overpower Nebraska on a wintry night and stay undefeated with a 34-7 victory on the strength of 322 yards rushing. Shannon Brooks ran for 99 yards, Mo Ibrahim had 84 yards and three touchdowns, and the Gophers stayed in a tie for first place in the Big Ten West Division with rival Wisconsin behind an all-around performance that had the Huskers on their heels all evening. Minnesota is 6-0 for the first time since 2003.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) — Jack Plummer threw for 420 yards and three touchdowns and Cory Trice returned an interception for a score to break open the game just before halftime, helping Purdue roll past Maryland 40-14. The Boilermakers snapped a three-game losing streak with their most lopsided win since upsetting No. 2 Ohio State last October. Maryland still hasn't won consecutive conference games on the road since 2014.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Nebraska quarterback Adrian Martinez has been sidelined for the game at Minnesota because of a left knee injury that forced him out of the previous game. Noah Vedral took his first career start in place of Martinez, the sophomore who has seven touchdown passes, three rushing scores, five interceptions and four lost fumbles in six games this season. Martinez was hurt in the third quarter of Nebraska's 13-10 win over Northwestern.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — With bad weather in the forecast, Minnesota is more than ready for a frosty night when the Gophers host Nebraska on Saturday night. They've used a variety of old-fashioned exercises in practice this week to prepare. If the conditions are tough, Minnesota can rely on running backs Rodney Smith and Shannon Brooks. The Huskers arrive with a question about the health of quarterback Adrian Martinez.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Reakwon Jones raced 17 yards with a Rutgers fumble to score 10 seconds into the game and Indiana set a one-sided tone in an embarrassingly easy 35-0 Big Ten Homecoming romp over the hapless Scarlet Knights. The touchdown was the fastest in Memorial Stadium's 60-year history.
