UNDATED (AP) — Ohio State faced plenty of off-field distractions and uneven on-field performances. Yet the Buckeyes are still in line to play for the Big Ten championship if they take care of business at Maryland on Saturday and beat Michigan for a seventh straight year next week. Tyrrell Pigrome will start at quarterback for Maryland after Kasim Hill tore the ACL in his left knee last week. Michigan State's run defense will be tested at Nebraska. Minnesota goes for another win against Northwestern.

VILLANOVA, Pa. (AP) — Charles Matthews scored 19 points, Ignas Brazdeikis had 18 and No. 18 Michigan beat No. 8 Villanova 73-46 in a national championship game rematch. BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Romeo Langford scored 22 points, Evan Fitzner added 16 and Indiana locked down on defense to beat No. 24 Marquette 96-73. The Hoosiers are 3-0 for the eighth time in nine years. They beat a ranked team for only the second time in nine tries under second-year coach Archie Miller.

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Cassius Winston scored 14 of his 23 points in the opening minutes of the second half, bouncing back from a rough start to help No. 11 Michigan State beat Louisiana-Monroe 80-59. The Spartans lost Nick Ward midway through the first half with an injury. Ward went down and pounded the court with both fists. He got up on his own and hobbled off the court, trying to keep weight off his right leg. Ward did not return after scoring four points and grabbing three rebounds in five minutes.

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Nick Ward sprained his right ankle during an injury scare in the first half of No. 11 Michigan State's 80-59 victory over Louisiana-Monroe. Spartans coach Tom Izzo says he doesn't "think it's anything serious." Ward went down midway through the first half and pounded the court with both fists. He got up on his own and hobbled off the court, trying to keep weight off his right leg. He did not return. Izzo says it's a low-ankle sprain, which generally heals faster than a high-ankle sprain.

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — James Palmer overcame a cold start to score 29 points, Isaac Copeland Jr. had 18 points and 10 rebounds, and Nebraska beat Seton Hall 80-57. The Cornhuskers ended a seven-game losing streak against opponents from the Big East with their dominant performance in the Gavitt Tipoff Games. Myles Powell had 24 points to lead Seton Hall.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Indiana coach Archie Miller and Purdue coach Matt Painter relied exclusively on in-state talent for their new recruiting classes. Miller added 6-foot-4 guard Armaan Franklin from Indianapolis Cathedral. He averaged 23.0 points and 7.8 rebounds last year and becomes the fourth all-state selection to join Indiana in the past 12 months. Painter added two guards _ Isaiah Thompson and Brandon Newman _ along with forward Mason Gillis. Thompson's brother, P.J., was the Boilermakers' former point guard.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Graduation rates for NCAA athletes reached a record high of 88 percent, according to data released by college sports' governing body.
