DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Kenny Pickett threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to V'Lique Carter with 38 seconds remaining, and Pittsburgh rallied to beat Duke 33-30 after wasting a 23-point lead. Pickett finished 29 of 48 for 268 yards with three touchdown passes to help the Panthers claim a wild victory _ their fifth straight in this Coastal Division series _ after the teams combined for 10 total turnovers with each scoring TDs in the final 90 seconds.
ATLANTA (AP) — Freshman Sam Howell passed for four touchdowns and North Carolina snapped a three-game losing streak, piling up 587 yards of total offense in an easy 38-22 victory over Georgia Tech. The Tar Heels seem fully recovered from last week's narrow loss to No. 1 Clemson. Georgia Tech has lost three straight.
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) — Deshawn McClease's 3-yard run with 1:03 remaining capped a wild back-and-forth final few minutes and gave Virginia Tech a 42-35 win over Miami on Saturday, in a game where the Hokies wasted a 28-point lead. Dalton Keene caught three touchdown passes for the Hokies (3-2, 1-2 Atlantic Coast Conference), who went up 28-0 in the first half and led 35-14 midway through the fourth quarter.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Blanton Creque's 41-yard field goal with 1:02 remaining edged Louisville past Boston College for a wild 41-39 victory that ended a nine-game Atlantic Coast Conference losing streak. Shortly after Aaron Boumerhi's 45-yard field goal with 3:32 left put the Eagles ahead 39-38, the Cardinals drove 52 yards in eight plays for Creque's line drive that sailed through the uprights.
