Giants lose sixth straight game...All-Star catcher Posey gets hurt...Orioles back in first

NEW YORK (AP) — The National League West-leading San Francisco Giants still have not won since the All-Star break. Giants Gold Glove shortstop Brandon Crawford made three errors for the first time in his career, with his wild throw in the eighth inning giving the New York Yankees a 3-2 win that sent San Francisco to its season-worst sixth straight loss.

NEW YORK (AP) — San Francisco Giants All-Star catcher Buster Posey left last night's game at Yankee Stadium a couple innings after fouling a ball off his right foot. X-rays were negative and Posey was listed as day to day.

BALTIMORE (AP) — Mark Trumbo hit a three-run homer, Manny Machado added a solo shot and the Baltimore Orioles beat the Cleveland Indians 5-1 to regain first place in the AL East by a half-game over Boston, which lost 2-1 to Minnesota. Rookie Dylan Bundy earned his first major league victory as a starter, going five innings and allowing just one earned run.

MIAMI (AP)— New York Mets third baseman Jose Reyes (RAY'-uhs) made a successful return to Marlins Park. Ex-Marlin Reyes had his first three-hit game since joining the Mets early this month and scored twice to help them beat the Miami Marlins 5-3.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — There's qualifying today for Sunday's Brickyard 400 on the NASCAR Sprint Cup calendar. Defending Brickyard 400 winner Kyle Busch had the fastest lap yesterday at 184.619 mph on the storied Indianapolis' 2.5-mile oval.
