WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) — Karl Charles scored 21 points with eight rebounds, five assists, three steals and four blocks as Holy Cross edged Colgate 65-63 on Wednesday night.

Charles was 4 of 7 from the field — including three from distance — and 10 of 11 from the line for the Crusaders (7-7, 2-1 Patriot League). Cullen Hamilton added 20 points, four rebounds and four assists. The team averaged 43.5 percent shooting from the field and 65.5 percent from the line.

Charles scored 14 of the Crusaders' 20 first-half points to keep Holy Cross in it as Colgate took an early lead on its way to a 29-20 halftime advantage.

Hamilton took over in the second half, scoring 18 points including a pair of 3-pointers and a layup that gave the Crusaders a 61-55 lead with 2:31 to play.

Austin Tillotson scored 18 points with six rebounds and eight assists for the Raiders (6-8, 2-1).
