Bucks beat Knicks...Do Christmas visitors have the edge?...Steelers coach looks ahead

NEW YORK (AP) — Giannis Antetokounmpo (YAH'-nihs an-teh-toh-KAHM'-poh) had 30 points and 14 rebounds in his Christmas debut, and the Milwaukee Bucks celebrated their return to the holiday schedule by beating the New York Knicks 109-95. Brook Lopez scored 20 points for the Bucks, who played on Christmas for the first time since 1977. New York has lost five in a row and 10 of 11 since rallying to stun the Bucks 136-134 in overtime on Dec. 1 at Madison Square Garden.

UNDATED (AP) — Today's NBA schedule includes five games in all. The others are Oklahoma City at Houston, Philadelphia at Boston, the Lakers at the Warriors and then Portland at Utah.

NEW YORK (AP) — Does a Christmas Day NBA game favor the visiting team? The theory being that the visitors could treat it as a regular road game while the hosts are at home, perhaps surrounded by family celebrating the holiday. Milwaukee Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer dismisses that notion -- pointing out that the Bucks brought plenty of family members to New York and had a big team dinner on Christmas Eve.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin isn't looking back at the turnovers and missed opportunities over the past month that have the Steelers on the outside of the playoffs and looking in, heading into Week 17. He says, "When they're done, they're done, you move on." The sting of Sunday's 31-28 road loss in New Orleans could linger into the offseason if Pittsburgh can't slip past the Ravens to reach the playoffs. The Steelers need to beat Cincinnati and hope that the Browns beat Baltimore.
