NEW YORK (AP) — Corey Maynard scored 19 points to lead Bryant to an 81-62 victory over LIU Brooklyn on Saturday afternoon.
All of Bryant's starters finished in double digits — Shane McLaughlin and Alex Francis scored 15 points each and Joe O'Shea and Dyami Starks added 12 apiece. Francis grabbed 11 rebounds and O'Shea added 10, while Starks finished with six of the Bulldogs nine steals.
LIU Brooklyn (9-20, 4-12 Northeast Conference) ended the first half on a 10-4 run to close within four points, 36-32, after trailing by as many as 10 in the half. Bryant (18-13, 10-6) exploded after the break and went on a 15-1 run to go up by 16 with 15 minutes left to play.
E.J. Reed led the Blackbirds with 16 points.
With the win, the Bulldogs grabbed the No. 3 seed in the NEC and gained a home-court advantage for the playoff game.
