Tonights snapshots are all guys and gals who have a little mud in their blood. Rob took his daughter Riley out on this years youth waterfowl hunt. Her first bird of the day, a banded goose of course. Rob says Riley finished the day with a few ducks as well. A great day, a great way to kick of the hunt.

Jed and his buddies just returned from an amazing week hunting geese in Northern Alberta. It was a 24 hour drive, but Jed says it was worth every minute. The highlight of their hunt was when they shot 12 limits of geese in under two hours. An amazing time by a bunch of Utah boys in the waterfowl mecca of the world.

13 year old Brayden and 10 year old Kahlen had quite the youth hunt this year. Kahlen got the party started with his first teal. later, the boys scored on a trio of Canada geese. Upon retrieving the birds, Dad about had a heart attack when the first one was wearing a band. When the second was also banded he about had a stroke, and when the third goose came up also wearing a band he started giggling like a little girl until he had tears in his eyes. The boys were pretty sure Dad needed some type of medical attention. Phillip says no doubt their Grandpa was looking down on them with a big ole grin.

Blair says the water levels were low, but the duck population was high for Walker's golden day on the marsh. Walker's hunt started out with a bang as he was able to bag his limit by 11 am. His friend Kodi, The professional retrieving lab, as you can see also had a ball. A priceless adventure.

and finally tonight our winner is a learning experience for Drake and Garret. As the boys hiked out the Harold Crane dike a few hunters started shooting a bit early. The boys were excited as ducks flew with in yards of them but knew that it was not legal shooting time yet. So they kept walking until they found a fairly open area where they could properly retrieve their downed birds. As soon as they got set and it was time to shoot a flock of geese came right over them. Garrett scored his first goose and wouldn't you know, it was banded. A great lesson and a great morning to go along with our great prize for having our Camp Chef, snapshot of the week.
