Shaheen hosting heroin and opioid discussion in Berlin

BERLIN, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire Sen. Jeanne Shaheen will discuss the heroin epidemic during a roundtable discussion with law enforcement officials in Berlin.

Shaheen will meet with community leaders, first responders and others to discuss heroin and opioid addiction and treatment, and the impact addiction is having on the community.

The discussion will take place at 2 p.m. in the library at Berlin High School.

While in the North Country, Shaheen will also tour the Women's Rural Entrepreneurial Network studios in Berlin. WREN, which has 1,400 members, provides work space and resources to low-income women trying to start their own businesses.
