DENVER (AP) — U.S. Secretary of Education John King Jr. is coming to Colorado on Monday.

King wants to highlight the work Colorado educators are doing to improve access to high-quality early learning.

During his visit, he plans to visit classrooms and talk with leaders about their programs.

Colorado is one of 20 states that received more than $1 billion in Race to the Top-Early Learning Challenge grants to help states increase the number of children in high-quality early learning and development programs.
