NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Rutgers plans to merge its two law schools in Newark and Camden.
The Rutgers board of governors voted to approve the merger on Thursday. The change still needs to be approved by the American Bar Association.
The university says the two locations would remain, but will start using a single application this fall for the class entering next year.
The schools were first separated into separate entities in 1967. Two co-deans will lead the merged law school, while reporting directly to the chancellors of Rutgers University-Newark or Rutgers University-Camden.
