ST. LOUIS (AP) — The University of Missouri-St. Louis has set a record for the number of degrees awarded.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/2anoZcA ) reports that 3,199 students received degrees during the 2016 fiscal year in graduation ceremonies in May, August and December. UMSL Chancellor Thomas George also calls it a proud moment that 632 underrepresented minority students graduated.

Graduating 3,000 students a year has long been a goal of UMSL leaders. They first hit that number during the 2013-14 school year.
