SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Protesters with the Black Lives Matter movement plan to gather at Salt Lake Community College's campus in Taylorsville on Friday.

The Deseret News reports (http://bit.ly/29OyEJK ) the campus was identified as the site of several dozen protests scheduled around the country Friday to protest police-involved shootings.

The protests come after black men were killed by police in Minnesota and Louisiana and white officers were gunned down in Dallas.

Salt Lake Community College spokesman Joy Tlou says the public is allowed on campus but most protests occur along the roadway to be visible to drivers.

She says similar protests have occurred at the campus in recent years and have not caused any big disturbances.

The protest is expected to start around 5 p.m.
