SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A 24-year-old woman faces an attempted murder charge after police say she attacked her neighbor with a samurai sword.
Authorities say they found a man bleeding from his arm when they were called about 5 p.m. Sunday to the area of 1100 South and 400 East.
Police say a woman became enraged while she was arguing with her neighbor, so she grabbed the sword from her apartment and started swinging at him.
Officials say the neighbor blocked one of the swings with his forearm, causing a deep cut.
Police say the woman's boyfriend was able to subdue her as officers arrived. She remained in the Salt Lake County Jail Monday morning.
