BELLEFONTE, Pa. (AP) — A former student has pleaded guilty to bringing an assault rifled and ammunition to the Pennsylvania Christian high school he attended.
Eighteen-year-old Cody Confer, of Bellefonte, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of possessing a weapon on school property. He'll be sentenced Aug. 23 and county prosecutors dropped a charge of terroristic threats.
Spring Township police were called to Centre County Christian Academy in Bellefonte on March 10. That happened after Confer told an adult volunteer at the school that he had a weapon in his vehicle and "enough ammunition to shoot up the school."
Police say officers found an assault rifle and two boxes of ammunition in his car.
Confer's attorney didn't immediately comment Tuesday.
Confer pleaded guilty July 19, but prosecutors announced that on Monday.
