North Texas school evacuated after complaints of nausea

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — A North Texas fire department evacuated an elementary school after 22 students and teachers developed headaches and nausea.

Mobile health care provider MedStar responded Friday to a call from Diamond Hill Elementary School in Fort Worth reporting a possible carbon monoxide leak. MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky says most of those affected were treated at the scene and released except for three female adults who were taken to area hospitals with minor illnesses.

Fort Worth fire department spokesman Kyle Falkner says preliminary environmental tests have ruled out a carbon monoxide leak. The department is now investigating whether a nearby a construction site is releasing fumes.
