KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) — A man missing at a Kalamazoo-area lake has been identified as the husband of a college professor.
Kalamazoo College says he's 56-year-old Takashi Sugimori. The Kalamazoo Gazette (http://bit.ly/OiXt1O) says his wife, Noriko, teaches Japanese at the college, and a daughter is a senior there.
College President Eileen Wilson-Oyelaran says the school is "doing all it can" to support the family. Police believe Sugimori may have fallen through ice at Asylum Lake. He planned to go cross-country skiing and hasn't been seen since Wednesday.
Rain and shifting ice have made it difficult for divers to get into the water.
