GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) — Construction on Gulfport High School is set to start soon and officials want to make sure students, parents and the surrounding community are prepared.
The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1y3zHgw ) an informational meeting is planned for Thursday to discuss traffic flow, drainage and anything else that could affect the area. Construction managers will be on hand to answer questions.
The project is slated to take three years and students will be attending class on the campus during that time.
The result will be a new fieldhouse for all sports, new academic buildings and a new fine arts complex.
In May, Gulfport voters approved a $41.24 million bond issue to finance the new school.
