ABBEVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Deputies say a 17-year-old has been arrested after pictures of someone standing inside an above- ground tomb at a South Carolina church cemetery were posted on Facebook.
Abbeville County Sheriff's Capt. Natalie Talbert told The Index-Journal of Greenwood (http://bit.ly/2asfPLi ) that deputies went to Ridge Church in Iva after seeing the pictures and found several tombs had been damaged.
Talbert says several photos of the church damage were on Facebook.
He was charged with desecration of a human burial ground, destruction or removal of human remains, malicious injury to a place of worship and second-degree burglary.
Deputies say charges against more people are possible.
