FRANKENLUST TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Delta College is deciding whether to participate in an auction that could mean an end to TV broadcasts by WDCQ.
The Bay City Times reports (http://bit.ly/1mKpBw8 ) several dozen viewers Thursday urged the school to keep the public TV station that's also known as Q-TV on the air. Last month, the Delta College Board of Trustees reserved the right to participate in the federal broadcast spectrum auction.
The comments came at the first of two forums to provide more information about the auction and give the public an opportunity to ask questions and offer comments.
Delta College President Jean Goodnow says there has been "a lot of concern about the future of Q-TV."
Michigan State University and Central Michigan University also have been considering whether to participate in the spectrum auction.
