NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Delgado Community College has received official notification of reaffirmation of its accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
The process occurs on a 10-year cycle, which means that Delgado's degrees, diplomas and certificates are accredited through 2026. The committee spent Nov. 16-19 reviewing procedures, interviewing faculty, staff and students and visiting the college's campuses in Orleans, Jefferson and St. Tammany parishes.
Delgado Chancellor Joan Y. Davis, in a news release Tuesday, said the college was notified of the reaffirmation on July 6. She says success of the reaccreditation process is the result of hard work by faculty and staff.
