LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police are investigating after an 11-year-old boy was shot in the head in the northwest part of Las Vegas.
Authorities say the shooting happened about 5 a.m. Monday on Pebble Beach Boulevard, near Decatur Boulevard and Vegas Drive.
The boy was transported to the hospital, but an update on his condition was not immediately available mid-morning Monday.
It's not clear if the shooting was accidental or intentional.
Police say detectives were responding and were expected to release more details later in the day.
