(AP) - Anti-government demonstrations took a deadly turn in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev Wednesday as protesters and police clashed in the streets. AP photographers captured the scene as protesters set tires alight and police tore down barricades and chased demonstrators from the area. Prosecutors said two men who died in the violence had been shot with live ammunition. The deaths fueled fear that the ongoing demonstrations were spiraling into a dangerous phase. After evening talks with the president, opposition leaders called on protesters to refrain from clashes for 24 hours.
