BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — Eight Montana State University students face drug distribution charges after an investigation found they were selling marijuana, LSD and hash oil from their dorm rooms or off-campus apartments.
The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports (http://bit.ly/1CVrlI0) all eight were arrested Thursday morning on warrants setting their bail at $75,000. A ninth student also was arrested as part of the investigation, but it was not immediately clear what charges he is facing.
Court records say a confidential informant made purchases from eight defendant s between December and February.
Prosecutors say a search of an off-campus apartment turned up marijuana, butane hash oil, marijuana-laced treats, a kit for growing psychedelic mushrooms and $7,000 in cash. Officers found a pound of marijuana and $2,400 in cash in one student's dorm rooms.
