BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A firefighter was hurt when a dead or burnt tree fell as he was fighting a blaze in the Boise National Forest.
The U.S. Forest Service said Monday that he was flown to St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise and is expected to be treated for minor injuries and released.
The agency said the wildfire burning in a remote area about 8 miles east of Deadwood Reservoir is not threatening people or homes.
It began as a small fire Sunday and grew to over 300 acres, or less than a square mile.
