SPANISH SPRINGS, Nev. (AP) — A vehicle collision on Pyramid Highway near Spanish Springs has left a woman dead and other members of her family injured.
The Nevada Highway Patrol says the incident happened Saturday around 11:15 a.m.
According to the NHP, a family traveling in an SUV overturned after colliding with a sedan trying to pass it.
Troopers say six people were in the SUV, wo adults and four children.
A woman who is believed to be the children's mother was killed.
The children and their father were taken to a hospital with moderate to minor injuries.
The driver of the sedan was not injured.
The incident shut down Pyramid Highway for several hours.
The crash remains under investigation.
