For more than 66 years, Utah residents have benefited from the Behunin family's horticulture knowledge and expertise. J. Leland Behunin founded Behunin Horticulture in 1943, and the third generation of Behunins now perpetuates his heritage by providing quality landscape services.
When Leland retired in the late 1960s, his son, Benjamin, took over his father's tree service company. The company's services expanded in the mid-1970s to include residential maintenance and small landscape installation. Today, Eric Behunin leads the full-service landscape company that provides arbor care, landscape design, residential and commercial installations and maintenance and holiday lighting services.
The company also has an online nursery that offers wholesale plants to the public. A free delivery service that runs along the Wasatch Front, from Ogden to Springville, and includes Park City, is also a big selling point. I enjoyed the easy and convenient online shopping, and the plants' excellent quality.
Although the company's services have dramatically expanded, it still does expert work for arbor consultation, tree and shrub pruning, tree removal, tree fertilization, GPS tree audits and tree risk management.
Eric Behunin and Meeja Aposhian, of the landscape design division, recently did some excellent work designing and planting in my back yard. Now, they're working on my front yard. They incorporated more perennials into the design, which will save me effort and money on the annuals that I have primarily used for years.
