2008-09 (Senior): Played and started in all 35 games at point guard (joining senior center Alfred Aboya and freshman shooting guard Jrue Holiday as the only Bruins to start in every game this season) scored at least two points and recorded at least one assist in every game this year recorded a rebound in 31-of-35 games (zero vs. Cal State Northridge, Washington, USC and VCU) scored in double fi gures in 29 of 35 games led the team, the Pac-10 and was 4th in the nation in free-throw percentage in all games (.897, 113-for-126) and was 3rd in Pac-10 games (.896, 60-for-67) led the team, was 3rd in the Pac- 10 and ranks 62nd nationally in all games in assists (4.7 apg) and ranked 2nd in Pac-10 play (4.9 apg) also led the team, ranked 4th in the Pac-10 and 85th nationally in all games in assist/turnover ratio (1.91) and ranked 1st in Pac-10 play (2.15) led the team and was 3rd in the Pac- 10 in all games in steals (1.6 spg) and ranked 6th in Pac-10 play (1.4 spg) his 9-for-9 performance from the free-throw line in the win at Oregon (Jan. 4) ranks as the eighth-best percentage in the Pac-10 in all games (1.000) and as the fifth-best performance in league play.

2007-08 (Junior): Started in 32 of the 33 games he played, missing the first six games of the year with a strained MCL in his left knee ... he averaged 14.5 points (2nd on the team, 12th in Pac-10), 2.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists (2nd on the team, 8th in Pac-10) and 1.9 steals per game (led the team, 3rd in Pac-10, 75th nationally) ... he shot 48.1 percent (161-for-335) from the field and 52.5 percent (53-for- 101) from three-point range (led the team, led the Pac-10, UCLA single-season record) ... also shot 87.2 percent (102-for-117) from the free-throw line (led the team, led the Pac-10, 20th nationally, 6th on UCLA single-season list) ... his 1.70 assist to turnover ratio was the second on the team and seventh in the Pac-10 ... he scored a career-high 33 points in the win at Oregon State (Jan. 26), becoming the first Bruin in three years to score 30 or more points ... his postseason honors included being named third team All-American (Associated Press); third team All-American (CollegeHoops.net); Bob Cousy Award Finalist; All-District IX Team (USBWA); second team All-Pac-10 (Pac-10 coaches) and Pac-10 All-Defensive Team (Pac-10 coaches) ... he also was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Pac-10 Tournament.

2006-07 (Sophomore): Played and started in 35 of the 36 games on the year ... named to the 2007 All-Pac-10 team and as a second team All-American ... scored a career-high 20 points (all in second half) in a loss to California in the Pac-10 Tournament (Mar. 8) ... missed West Virginia game (Feb. 10) with a sprained AC joint in left shoulder ...came back to score a then-career-high 18 points in a win at Arizona State (Feb. 15) ... had the third double-double of his career with 17 points and 15 assists in a win at No. 19 Arizona (Feb. 17) ... the 15 assists tied for the second-best total in UCLA history (Darrick Martin had 15 vs. Pittsburgh on Feb. 2, 1991 - Earl Watson holds the record with 16 in a NCAA Tournament win over Maryland on March 18, 2000) ... named the Pac-10 Player of the Week for the second time for his efforts in the Bruins' road sweep of the Arizona schools ... was named the Most Valuable Player of the EA Sports Maui Invitational All-Tournament Team after averaging 13.3 points, 7.0 assists and 2.7 steals per game ... also named the Pac-10 Player of the Week for his efforts in Maui, which included shooting 12-of-20 (.600) from the field ... scored in double figures in 28-of-35 games during the season ... was named to the NCAA Tournament All-West Regional team after averaging 13.0 points and 2.5 steals per game against Kansas (Mar. 24) and Pittsburgh (Mar. 22) ... he ranked in the top 10 in the Pacific-10 Conference in five statistical categories, including leading the league in steals with 2.2 steals per game (22nd nationally) and in three-point field goal percentage (.447, 51-of-114) ... also ranked second in both assists (5.7 apg, 18th nationally) and in assist/turnover ratio (2.0) and 19th in scoring (12.7 ppg).

2005-06 (Freshman): Played in all 39 games, starting two ... averaged 5.5 ppg and 2.3 apg ... in his first game, he had four points and two assists against New Mexico State ... scored three points vs. Temple ... in his second start against Albany, he logged 28 minutes and recorded 10 points, two rebounds, three assists and two steals ... in 31 minutes against Stanford, he had four points, a careerhigh eight assists, one rebound and one steal ... in 18 minutes vs. California, he had eight points.

Personal: Full name is Darren Michael Collison ... he is right-handed ... born August 23, 1987 ... parents are June and Dennis Collison ... his parents were elite track & field athletes ... his mother June (Griffith), in 1979 was ranked No. 10 in the world in the 400m and placed second at the Pan American Games ... she represented Guyana at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles ... her personal-best time in the 400m was 51.37/1979 (indoor 52.88/1982) ... his father Dennis, a 200m runner, represented Guyana at the Pan-American Games with personal-best marks of 10.1 (100m) and 20.3 (200m) ... both parents were All-Americans at Adelphi University (NY) ... he has one sister and is majoring in history.
