Apolo Anton Ohno will be showing off his skill at the Pacific Coliseum, home of the short track speed skating events. Like so many winter athletes, Ohno moved to Salt Lake City to train for 2010. He's just one of many locals with serious medal hopes.
He won gold in 2002 then added to his fame as champion of the 2007 "Dancing with the Stars" competition. Now Apolo's speeding toward Vancouver.
Park City's Lindsey Vonn is on the top of the World Cup mountain and right now is a gold medal favorite in Vancouver.
"It's amazing. I mean, 17 years old and your first Olympics. It was crazy. I loved it," she said.
Oakley's Steve Holcomb is the USA's top bobsled driver now. After finishing sixth in the Torino Olympics' four-man bobsled event, Steve became the only American to ever win a two-man world championship. He did that last year.
Salt Lake City's Zach Lund is winding his way to Olympic fame in skeleton.
Infamous in 2006, the reigning world champion was booted out of the Torino Olympics for using a hair restoration product containing banned substances. Suspension served, Lund is back on his sled and putting down solid results.
