Just discovering Netflix games? Here are 4 of the best to play with the family

SALT LAKE CITY — Netflix is debuting a new app for little kids. Netflix Playground gives kids under eight customized games based on their favorite shows and movies. The app is free for Netflix subscribers, and most importantly, it won't have any ads or in-app purchases. The games will be based on popular kids shows and movies and they can play them without data or wi-fi. The Netflix Playground app officially launched in the United States earlier this week and is now available to download. Did you know Netflix also offers games for adults and families to play at home? This isn't new. Netflix games initially launched in 2021, but it's not something many families know about or know how to use it to its full potential. Jackbox Games

Jackbox Games are new to Netflix as of April 1, 2026. You used to need to make a separate purchase, but now Quiplash 3, Drawful 2 and Fibbage 4 are included with your Netflix subscription. Each game has its own rules, consisting of either answering questions, drawing or voting. These games are best with 3-8 players and a sense of humor. Family friendly settings are an option for each.

Dead Man's Party

This is a spooky, social deduction or party‑style game. Players take on roles in a haunted or mystery‑style scenario and some players have hidden objectives. Through discussion, clues or mini‑challenges, players try to uncover who's lying or sabotaging the group. Wins depend on correctly identifying others or surviving to the end.

Pictionary

Players take turns drawing a word or phrase. They draw it on the screen without using letters or numbers. Other players guess out loud or through their devices. Correct guesses earn points.

Boggle

This is a fast‑paced word‑finding game. A grid of letters appears on the screen and players race against the clock to find words made from adjacent letters. Words must be at least a minimum length, usually three letters, but longer words score higher. After the time is up, words are revealed and points are awarded for valid entries.
